Here's a great program to teach parents and kids about Internet safety

You'll never find a better program about Internet safety than i-SAFE. Our school has used this program for middle and high school and it is THE best we've seen. They have programs for students, parents and even lessons for the kids in the classroom. LOTS of stuff! The best part about the program? They are funded by the US govt. and everything they have is available for free. You can even view videos and attend classes on their website. They want people in the community to help them teach others so they also send you cds and materials so you can conduct programs in your neighborhoods and schools. Since I pay taxes to pay for this stuff I'm going to use it and tell everyone I know about it. Check them out isafe.org

Glad it has worked well for you, Roxeh. Did you use the program in your own classroom, or are you an administrator? Would love to hear some details of how it worked at your school, especially about students' response/take-aways. Would also love to hear from educators who've tried other online-safety-training programs, such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's NetSmartz.org. All best,
