MySpace, Facebook, Friendster, Xanga: What's working and what's not?

A few major networking sites have upgraded their security system, so my question is: Which ones are working and which ones aren't? How well is MySpace's scanning software for underage/overage users working? How about Friendster and Xanga's community policing programs?

I'm a reporter eager to learn more about what parents and young people feel about these recent enchancements. You might have even had a "close call," escaping from a child predator thanks to a flag someone had posted on his profile or something like it? Send me an email or post a comment--it'd be very much appreciated.

Facebook is nice, as the userbase is very small, allowing the management to take care of problems quicker. Xanga is huge, as is Myspace, therefore it takes them quite a while to take care of things.

I think facebook is working great. I haven't had any problems there yet. As for xanga, I have had major problems. The xanga team did a good job of taking care of the situation though.
