Other resources for parents?

Hello:

I very much appreciate the efforts they the webmasters and the people who come to this board offer. It has been a great place for me to get a consistent pulse on what parents really think about child online safety. It also has provided me with insight on how children feel about specific issues. While there are not that many younger posters at this time I would imagine that in time they would feel more apt to post.

I would like to know if you have a web ring that has links to other websites that promote this kind of topic? I know that you have several web sites already, but wanted to know what the process is to become part of this ring.

While I work for a computer monitoring company, I have written multiple articles regarding Myspace, Xanga, and most other common online activities children are more prone to use. When i write these articles, I always try to educate parents, but at the same time tie in the importance of computer monitoring.

I feel these articles may be able to provide insight to some of the questions that Parents have regarding popular topics like social networking, cyber bullying and what they can do.

Do you offer some kind of space on your site that parents can see these articles, or become part the multiple sites that are tied in together?

I would not have a problem providing some rather in-depth articles that I have spent a lot of time on, but never really felt comforatble adding a link to it on the message boards as it might come off spammy.

Thank you for your time.

I've found this website helpful (it's not about internet safety, but offers resources for checking the backgrounds of people who come into contact with our children)

www.peoplesearchnews.com

I recently found out that my son's new school doesn't perform background checks on the teachers and other personnel (it turns out that schools aren't required to do this which is crazy to me). With the new school year around the corner, I decided that a background check on my son's new teacher would be a good idea. He checked out and I feel better knowing that.
