Regarding Myspace.com and Monitoring Software

Hello:

I have not posted in a while, but I do read these forums on a daily basis. I have noticed that there is an increase in the amount of discussions regarding monitoring software and if anyone had any questions about them, I would be more than happy to answer them for you.

I would also like to take a moment to inform the members of this forum that many of the concerns that you have with regards to myspace monitoring have been discussed and addresses with the company I work for.

Because of the growing concern parents have with Myspace.com, SpectorSoft is pleased to announce that our latest version of Spector Pro records all Myspace.com activity. You would be able to review this activity by clicking on a tab within the program called “MySpace Activity”.

Within this section of the program (there are 9 other recording and blocking tools), you will see MySpace Screen Snapshots, MySpace Messages, MySpace Chat/Instant Messages, Account Profiles, Pictures Posted, Blog Entries, Friends List, Comments Posted, Email Sent and Received, the Top 10 People they are Sending Messages To, the Top 10 People they are Receiving Messages From, the Top 10 Profiles Visited, and a comprehensive MySpace Report that will include any login they use.

There are many new monitoring features included in the new version of Spector Pro, but I wanted to keep the focus on MySpace because this domain is about blog safety.

While I can certainly understand that some parents and teenagers may prefer not to monitor the activity on a computer, I would like to provide parents with an option that has been thoroughly tested and can provide insight as to what happens on Myspace.com.

I would also like to say that I personally believe that parents should always discuss Internet Safety with their children. Education is the best way to prevent a child from being exposed to potential Internet dangers.

The following link will take you directly Myspace section of the Spector pro 6.0 page.

Not at all.:) I can understand why you may feel the way you do about that. I am only trying to provide an option to parents that are interested in this type of thing.

However, it is not for every parent and most certainly not for every situation.

While you may not agree with this option, I can certainly respect the fact that you are and individual and have a different opinion.

Good God, me, fuzzybutton, and a few others are just a twig in the tide aren't we?

When did parents get so irresponsible as to have people do their parenting for them? Are they so spineless as to not be able to confront their kids and have a talk? Why is it that crooked politicians can manipulate fear to destroy our rights (patriot act) and ruin what separates this great country from the countless others that simply block people from things to teach them? How have we let this happen?
