I created a blog for my 8 y.o. son on Blogger to "showcase" some enrichment projects he is working on this summer. I am now wondering how safe it is for him to have a blog and what some guidelines should be to safe posting. Obviously, we don't post our full name, address or anything too personal.

I think he'll be fine. To be sure, consider not including the name of his school associated with his first name and pictures that show his face, just in case someone were to hang out outside school or something, but that's pretty unlikely. I'm sure you're monitoring comments on the blog (Blogger allows you to delete them and probably to check them before posted), which means that - if you use those tools - no one can post anything inappropriate that you can't at least delete. So really no worries. Hope that helps. All best,
Anne
