Hi - I'm seeking in put on how to monitor my kids online activities now that they have Apple based computers instead of PC based. We have contracts to govern their online use and, as part of these contracts, they understand that we watch their online usage as much for what third parties may do than for what the kids may do... Anyway, I am worried about what to use no the Macs... Suggestions? Thanks, in advance.

Hi EmmaLS, can you tell us what you like about the program? (More details, such as key features and how it works for your family, would help.) Thanks, Maureen -- Maureen Kochan ConnectSafely community manager

Hello to all! To say honestly I'm confused about what to choose for monitoring. I think a new software appears every week and the amount of them is already enormous! Possibly there is some good free one to put on my mac laptop Will see if some of those you have mentioned fits me. But it is always helpful if someone who REALLY used or uses such a software can advise

Some time ago I was worried about this problem too. I have young brother. How to know what's happening on my Mac when I'm out of home? After long searchings I found one program, which monitors all activity on Mac and records all typed keystrokes. I use DutyWatch and now I know which sites watched my brother and about his chats.

Welcome, newspypig, and thanks for the recommendation. But can you tell us why you like the product, and how it works for your family? Also, I really hope you're not promoting the product(s) of the company you work for, since No Advertising is one of our community rules. Thanks, Maureen -- Maureen Kochan ConnectSafely community manager

SpectorSoft has now released eBlaster for Mac. It is the same as the eBlaster for Windows software but is made for the Mac platform. AFAIK it is the only remote monitoring software for Mac computers. -- Edited by Anne at 02/16/2009 1:39 PM

Watch the SpectorSoft website in the upcoming weeks ... I have it on good authority that the company will very soon be releasing eBlaster for mac ... Right now, today, a good option is Spector Pro mac 2009, which is modeled after SpectorSoft's award-winning Spector Pro for Windows ... Just fyi ... greg f.

Welcome KC, Eblaster only works on Windows, according to GetNetWise.org's database of parental-control tools.
The company that makes Eblaster makes a version of Spector Pro for the Mac. Search for other options here.
Good luck,
Maureen
