Good article about online safety and kids from USA Today this week: “The Net is a Circuit of Safety Concerns.”
The article says some experts worry that parents are falling victim to predator panic and overreacting to unlikely dangers, unintentionally turning children off to safety messages altogether.
What do you think? Do you suffer from "predator panic?" How do you deal with it?

I liked the article. And, your right just like anything if you focus on one piece of the whole you'll loss the the whole picture. To be wise you have to keep calm, and remember there are so many more dangers out there. And, predators are all around our children. But, if we keep our children as smart as they are without scaring them to death, and keep an open communacation with them. That is half the battle. Then we can stay on top of the rest of the battle, and pray that God will help us find the right path through all this. Predators have been around for along time, they have just evolved like any other predator does. We have to evolve with them, without losing our minds over it. It reminds me of the time in grade school when we were taught to get under our desk and duck, and cover your head, if a atom bomb were ever to hit us. Like that was going to help. So, don't put your heads in a hole, duck and cover. Keep informed, stay one up on what's going on in your childrens life. And, don't panic on this one, it's a battle for our children, and we're going to win! Just my thoughts as an kind of older mother.
