As a mother of a 12 year old who is very active on the computer -- I am alarmed of the news of sexual predators on MySpace and other social networking sites. I trust he's making good choices, but why even expose him to a dangerous situation? I found a web site that helps determine whether you child was contacted by known sexual predators -- www.childonlineprotectionservice.com I hope this puts some people's worries to rest.

As for me, I don't allow my children to surf the Internet while I'm not at home. Our computer is right in the kitchen, so I can see what they are doing and who they are talking to. I also ask my children follow Children On-line Safety Rules and I have no problems, knock on wood.
