YouTube's safety features

Do you use and like YouTube's safety features (Safety Mode, the profanity filter for comments, and its video-rich Help section)? Judging by the comments under their blog post "Celebrating Internet Safety Month," most people who have something to say about YouTube's safety features are against them, see them as censorship. Is it that there aren't many parents on YouTube, or that people only comment when they have a complaint?

The post has links to YouTube's own videos about its Community Guidelines, how to flag objectionable material, unlisted videos, how to use the Help & Safety Tool, etc. I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts on how YouTube safety measures like these work at your house.

Tx,
Maureen

Haven't really had much trouble on YouTube. But then again, I don't have the worry there of being kicked off like I have been somewhere ELSE....
