Thanks to your help the myspace.com/lasultraidiotas mock profile has been closed down, but now something worse happened... they have taken over my personal profile! ( myspace.com/gretita ). Today in the afternoon i realized my profile had been deleted (for no apparent reason, since i have never infringed the myspace policies or terms of use), moments later it was created again by someone other than me. They have stolen my identity and are sending nasty comments to people passing off as me and using my information with harmful purposes. I'm sure it is the same people who made the fake profile, i need action as soon as possible beacause this is affecting my personal and profesional life Please, I expect your answer Greta Álvarez

Hi there,
Sorry to hear about your situation, but now I'm going through the exact same thing. Someone is posting bulletins from my account and they are obsene. I was wondering if you heard from myspace yet? I haven't. If you get any advise or tips, please pass it along...I don't know what to do.

Yes please, because people know me by that profile becaause i have done a lot of publicity to it annd it is a shame people that enter be tricked and offended by it. they are not only close friends and family but also co-workers. so if you please can get in contact with myspace i would greatly appreciate it. i have already contacted them through their report abuse section but have gotten no answer. this is giving me lots of worries and i would really much appreciate if i could get back control of my profile or simply have it deleted. thank you very much for your cooperation.

Greta, I'm sorry to hear that. This is the challenge of the user-driven Web. Profile deletions are rarely the end of problems, I'm afraid. Do you want your profile shut down?
