Suggestions for a fair balance?

for years I have used social networking particularly facebook to keep in contact with school mates, friends, and family scattered throughout the country. i was sentenced for possession of child pornography which we neither debate nor not. My question is this, if I am willing to be monitored and my activities watched should I not be allowed to also keep up to date with friends and family. This is why I am here. Should a network be created with the understanding that people convicted of crimes are there so that parents can more closely monitor. Could facebook be modified that no one under 18 could be searched or added by someone who's account was marked as a criminal. These people would need to be added or monitored by their parent. My facebook account had 21 people composed of family, church members, and school mates as well as the girl I am dating. Three of these people were under 18 and at least one of their parents were also on my account. My settings were set to as private as possible requiring that only people who know me could even send a friend request. Since my conviction my account was disabled per facebooks user agreement. Now before crucifying please look deeply at this question, here is a person that society is "afraid" of asking how I also can participate in the world and my life with my friends while keeping everyone safe. I seriously want to find an answer we all can live with.

I feel my account was unjustly disabled as well. But there seems to be NO hope for mine. Seems really unfair when I hear from others how many accounts that THEY have.....
